APX Performance Photography exists to document the effort, discipline, and defining moments athletes experience in competition—while allowing parents and coaches to stay fully present in those moments.

Hey! It’s Nick.

Sports parent. Performance-focused photographer. Respectful observer of competition.

Although many closest to me just call me Niiiiickk. Yes, just like in new girl. I’m a father of three boys, which means sports, practices, and competition are a constant part of life. Like many parents, I’ve spent countless hours trying to capture those moments—balancing the desire to document them with the reality that the best moments often happen too quickly for a phone camera to keep up.

Photography became my way of solving that problem.

Using professional equipment and a performance-focused approach, I work to capture the moments that define athletic competition—the split second of effort, focus, reaction, and achievement that athletes train for.

My goal is simple: to document those moments so parents, coaches, and families can experience the competition fully, without watching it through a phone screen.

When I'm not behind the camera, I work professionally as a Spare Parts Manager for a company supporting industrial chemical and compound destruction systems. That background has shaped how I approach photography as well—methodically, with attention to detail, preparation, and reliability.

APX Performance Photography (APX - named for the apex of athletic performance) is built on a respect for athletes, competition, and the effort that goes into both.

Every athlete trains for moments that happen in fractions of a second. I’m there to make sure they’re not missed.

Working Around Youth Athletes

APX Performance Photography is built around a respectful, competition-first approach when photographing youth sports.

  • I maintain a low-profile, observational presence during competition and never interrupt play or direct athletes during events.

  • Parents and guardians remain fully involved in any individual photography arrangements.

  • Any photography involving athletes under 18 requires a signed parent or guardian release form prior to the session.

  • Photography is conducted with respect for coaches, officials, and event organizers so competition remains the priority.

My goal is to document effort, focus, and performance while maintaining a professional and respectful environment for everyone involved.

Put your phone down. I've got you covered.
